Maxi has been a passionate skier for as long as he can remember. But after every day on the slopes, there came the part that everyone probably knows and no one likes: storing the skis. Whether in the garage, the basement, or the hallway, they were always somehow in the way, tipping over, or scratching each other. A clean, space-saving solution? There was no such thing as a clean, space-saving solution.
That was exactly the problem.
Maxi started tinkering himself. He wanted something functional, good-looking, and easy to use – ideally without any drilling or screwing. But what sounds so simple turned out to be a real challenge. Over two years, he tested countless variants, materials, and fastening methods. Many prototypes ended up in the trash. Time and again, it looked as if the whole thing wouldn't work.
He almost gave up.
But then, after countless failures, Maxi had the solution: a mount that works without tools, holds rock solid, and, incidentally, perfectly showcases your skis. Simple, well-thought-out, and functional.
And that’s exactly what Skihold is now.
What began as a personal project, Maxi now wants to share with other ski enthusiasts. Because if you love your skis, you should also be able to store them properly – without compromise.
